Rob Walton

Rob is a senior real estate lawyer with over 20 years’ experience. Part of RWK Goodman’s Children’s Services team, he specialises in advising providers in the children’s homes and wider children’s services sector, including SEN schools where he sits on an advisory board for a SEN group.

Rob brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to legal and regulatory issues, supporting clients with everything from setting up new homes and dealing planning restrictions, to acquisitions, lease arrangements and restrictive covenant concerns. He has particular expertise in advising on ESG issues for providers helping his clients acquire, develop and maintain safe, sustainable environments. His expertise helps providers plan confidently, avoid pitfalls, and create spaces where children and young people can feel safe, supported, and at home.

Rob is passionate about supporting organisations that care for vulnerable children. His work is shaped by a belief that high-quality, values-led provision has the power to transform lives—and that getting the legal and structural details right helps create the foundations for excellent care.
