Gemma Nicholas

Gemma is a Senior Associate in RWK Goodman’s Children’s Services team. She specialises in advising special schools and other education, health and social care providers on both contentious and non-contentious regulatory matters. She has in-depth experience supporting special educational settings with compliance, inspections, and governance, and has worked in-house with regulatory bodies to provide strategic advice.

Gemma supports organisations involved in safeguarding investigations, complaints and local authority disputes. She also represents education providers in public law challenges through judicial review proceedings, as well as coronial proceedings when providers have been identified as interested persons in inquests. Known for her pragmatic and meticulous approach, Gemma is trusted by providers navigating complex regulatory and legal challenges.
