The session will cover the dynamics of human trafficking and honour-based violence and highlight the increased risks UASC face. Participants will gain practical skills to recognise early warning signs and respond effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of these vulnerable children and young people.The objectives of this course are for participants to:
Educate participants about the various forms of modern-day slavery and human trafficking, including labour exploitation, sexual exploitation, and forced marriage.
Raise awareness about the prevalence and global scope of modern-day slavery and human trafficking, including its impact on individuals and communities.
Provide information on the indicators and signs of human trafficking and honour-based violence, including the vulnerabilities of UASC.
Help participants recognise the complexities and challenges involved in identifying and supporting victims of modern-day slavery, human trafficking, and honour-based violence, including cultural sensitivities and language barriers.
Discuss the legal frameworks and safeguarding procedures for addressing modern-day slavery, human trafficking, and honour-based violence, including the protection and support of UASC.
