The objectives of this course are for participants to:
Understand the prevalence and dynamics of domestic abuse and its effects on children within the family context.
Provide information on the various forms of domestic abuse, including physical, emotional, sexual, and financial abuse, and their impacts on children.
Help participants recognise signs and indicators of domestic abuse in children, including behavioural, emotional, and physical manifestations.
Explore the cumulative and long-term effects of exposure to domestic abuse on children's physical health, mental health, and social development.
Discuss the importance of conducting risk assessments and safety planning to support children and families affected by domestic abuse.
