This course explores the essential role of boundaries in creating safety and consistency for children and young people who have experienced trauma. It supports leaders in understanding how clear, compassionate boundaries are a cornerstone of therapeutic practice, contributing to emotional containment, trust, and developmental growth. The course examines the impact of relational trauma, the balance between nurture and structure, and the leader’s role in modelling and upholding healthy boundaries within the care team.
To develop leaders' understanding of boundaries as a therapeutic tool, and their role in creating a safe, consistent environment for children and young people. The course also aims to equip leaders with the confidence to support staff in managing challenging behaviours and maintaining relational safety through reflective, attuned, and boundary-conscious practice.
