Participants in this training will gain insights into the dynamics of bullying, including its various forms and effects on individuals. They will also learn proactive strategies for preventing bullying and supporting victims effectively in residential settings in line with their own organisation's bullying policy

  • The aim of this training is to raise awareness about bullying behaviour, its various forms, and the significant impact it can have on the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of children and young people. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the underlying factors that contribute to bullying, including power imbalances, peer dynamics, and social influences. The session will equip professionals with proactive strategies to prevent bullying, foster a culture of respect and inclusion, and respond effectively when incidents occur. Through practical guidance and case studies, attendees will develop the skills to identify early warning signs, implement intervention measures, and support both victims and perpetrators in a way that promotes positive behavioural change and long-term well-being.

  • The objectives of this course are for participants to:

    • Define and identify different forms of bullying, including physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying.

    • Understand the psychological and emotional impacts of bullying on victims.

    • Explore the dynamics of bullying, including the roles of perpetrators, bystanders, and victims.

    • Learn proactive strategies for creating a safe and inclusive environment, including promoting positive relationships and bystander intervention.

    • Develop skills for recognising warning signs of bullying and responding effectively to incidents.

    • Discuss policies and procedures for reporting and addressing bullying behaviour within organisational settings.

    • Empower participants to advocate for anti-bullying initiatives and support victims of bullying.
