This advanced course is designed to enhance the expertise of safeguarding leads within residential care settings. It provides an in-depth exploration of safeguarding responsibilities, policy implementation, and risk management. Through case study analysis and a critical review of their own organisational policies, safeguarding leads will refine best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.   • To equip safeguarding leads in residential care with advanced knowledge, leadership skills, and practical strategies to effectively implement safeguarding policies, manage risks, and promote the well-being of children and young people. This course will enable participants to critically review their own organisational policies, analyse real-world case studies, and enhance their ability to lead a culture of safety, accountability, and advocacy within their settings.

  • The objectives of this course are for participants to:
